I have been away from blogging and Ravelry for some time. I missed all this fun a lot.
Meanwhile I have a ton of UFOs on my needles and am always thinking of starting new projects.
However one major event changed my priorities: my niece is expecting a baby boy. She’s due in October. So I’m on to baby things now.
On my needles at the moment: EZ’s February Baby Jacket, Mason Dixons’s Baby Kimono and Mason Dixon’s Moderne Baby Blanket. The Jacket and the kimono are almost finished. I’m going to cast on a Baby Surprise Jacket as soon as I finish them and I’m going to try some leggings too.
I’m terribly excited with this baby thing.

Christmas Knitting
In my Christmas Knitting Mason-Dixon book ruled. I knitted
7 ballband washcloths;
3 MD washcloths;
1 cabin log bath mat.
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. I was too busy knitting.
Now I'm knitting washcloths for me! I found some beautiful cotton in a store near me. I bought a rainbow of colours.
I still have some gifts to finish. They're for my nieces. I told them I would give them on January 6. I'm crocheting an amigurumi toy, a headband, and a pair of Ballerina shoes from Fiber Trends.

Lots of projects, Big and Small.
I've been doing several things at the same time. I'm an ADD person and these last few weeks have been a bit chaotic. I finished some things though: the wrist warmers, a head band for my niece, a pair of Griffyndor mittens for my son.

This is the band. It's a pattern from The Book of Yarn.
Meanwhile I ruined my last pair of socks, accidently putting them in the washing machine. Another niece has now a lovely pair of felted booties.
EZ Almanach's project for December was really quick to do. I had some "fishermen" wool, as they call it here, that had a gauge of exactly 2,5 stitches per inch. I made a sweater for my son:
I'm also trying to finish the other sweater for my son (the one from The Netherlands):
There's one and a half sleeve to finish.
Yet another niece got a nice EZ cap:

This one is also going to have a head band:
Some other relatives are getting some MD washcloths:
And my son got my first Amigurumi:
I haven't been able to post my projects in Ravelry. I don't know why it doesn't recognize my Flickr account. So I posted my pictures here.

Some FOs and some WIPs
I finished my socks for the Vintage Socks group.
I received my first installment from the Fyberspates sock club and I knitted not the pattern they sent but my first pair of adult socks from Cat Bordhi's last book.
These are the Coriolis Socks.
And I knit my first mitten! I had promised my son a pair of Gryffindor mittens from the Charmed Knits book. When I finish the second one, I'll post a photo.
My main project right now is a sweater for my son. I'm following the instructions from the Donna Druchunas Ethnic Knitting book. It's very good! I heard about it in Kelley Petkun's podcast. I'm knitting a sweater from the Netherlands!
I haven't done much in Ravelry yet, but I soon will. I am still learning how to post photos there.

Finally!
I finally got my Ravelry invite yesterday! I'm Puella63 there.
I haven't introduced much yet. Only my books (some of them I couldn't because they weren't in their database).
Meanwhile, I've been having too much fun building little socks from the New Pathways for Sock Knitters: Book One
from Cat Bordhi. I made the first one, then 2 little Coriolis and now I'm in my second Coriolis for me. I've finished the left one yesterday and am now making the right one.
I gave the little Coriolis to my youngest niece, who turned one yesterday. I had already given her a pair of socks made with the Adriafil yarn I used in my pair of socks whose picture I posted some days ago. She loved them so much that she wants to wear them all the time. Last week I was wearing mine and went to her house to help my sister with some computer things. Suddenly I felt some scratching on my ankle, It was my niece trying to grab my socks. LOL. She did it several times while I was there.

I've got a knitting bag!!!!
I saw it at the window of a bags and accessories shop and immediately thought it would be ideal to carry my knitting stuff. The shop assistant looked puzzled when I told her why I wanted the bag but, anyway, it's mine now.
What left my needles:
I'm still working on my vintage socks, but they are progressing steadily.
I've bought so many knitting and crochet books recently that I don't even know where to start telling you about them.
Well, the most recent ones are:
And coming my way (as Amazon said) are the most recent sock's book by Cat Bordhi (New Pathways for Sock Knitters: Book One), Knitting in America by Melanie Falick and Chris Hartlove and EZ's Knitting Workshop DVDs.
And these are only the books. I'm not going to mention yarn, needles, accessories and magazines.
What left my needles:
- the second sock with the Adriafil yarn (their on my feet right now);
- a mini pair with the same yarn to my one-year-old niece: I used a programme called Sock Wizard to make the pattern. They fit perfectly;
- the 2 pairs of hand warmers I had started before, one in black, one in off white;
- a pair of socks to my son. I followed a four stitch ribbing pattern from the book Sensational Knitted Socks. I used the Baby Cable Rib with Regia 6 ply. Here's a picture:

WristWarmers!
I haven't posted for some days because I've been ill, unfortunately.
Anyway, here it's my "brilliant" technique of 2 socks in 2 circs:

It's the French Child sock we're kaling in the Vintage Socks group.
I would have finished them by now had I not stumbled upon a pattern for some wrist warmers on Knitty.
I've made 2 white ones and one black. I'll cast on for the second one today.
Here's the picture:

The pattern can be found here.
I'm not quite sure why the cables of the one in the middle are not as well defined as the one on the right. The yarn is Debbie Bliss Cashmerino. It's soooo soft. I love it.
I also changed the photo of my now defunct sock (RIP) because the flash light in the other photo prevented the pattern to stand out.
